Creatures of the Enchanted Forest can be found throughout the world in every developing child's imagination. These creatures become the impetus for imaginative play - play that is the heart of learning! A Chalk Walk Into the Enchanted Forest is a compilation of stories told orally, or through puppetry, in a play-group setting. The accompanying chalk drawings serve only as backdrops to these stories, allowing the child to see events unfold in their own mind's eye. These simple, magical stories follow a theme of kindness and nature. They have been put to written word so that you, the parent, may read them, tell them, act them out, and even add to them.
A squirrel with a yellow tail, a curious little fox who is anything she wants to be, a dragon that is happiest when asleep, and a gnome who is amused at his own poetry; these are just some of the creatures of the Enchanted Forest, introduced in this first book.
Do you have your imagination on? Grab some chalk! Let's go!
