Midge Shusta was raised by her maternal grand-parents, Grace and Frank Perry in Seaview, Washington. She grew up listening to her grand-father's stories of his mother, who he adored, and his father, who he rarely saw. His tales of Ireland carved a place in Midge's memory that were so vivid she never forgot them. Especially the time he got a job as a cabin boy on a Merchant ship bound for England. There he discovered his father's original name and likeness tacked on the wall of a Public House that stated, wanted dead or alive and all succeeding generations.
