This is an adaptation of the basic lecture material from an introductory philosophy course taught by Professor McFerran at Los Angeles Pierce College. It is intended to provide an historical grounding for the student first becoming involved in the continuing conversation about what we can know through reason alone when it comes to objective truth and reality.
