Airbrushing with Vince Goodeve from Wolfgang Publications is built around a series of painting sequences. The subjects include everything from a semi truck to a hockey helmet and guitar. Vince squirts paint on saddle bags for one Harley and a gas tank for another. Though Vince is well known for his skulls, the designs spread throughout the book also include one awesome fire-breathing horse, one vintage pin-up and a band of "rope" that's decidedly Celtic.
Each how-to sequence, whether applied to a pickup truck, a custom motorcycle tank, or a helmet is documented in detail from start to finish, with detailed captions from Vince that explain exactly what he's doing and why. For most of these projects, Vince is spraying automotive urethane paints and clears.
After more than 20 years as one of North America's best known airbrush artists, Vince Goodeve has learned not only how to create stunning images, but how to explain the process to students and readers.
With over 500 images and 142 pages, Vince gives readers insight into the mechanics of airbrushing, as well as the artistic part of the art. Let Vince explain what makes a good design and why: How to make use of the color wheel and the importance of always knowing where your light is coming from. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned pro, you need Vince's latest book for that bookshelf in the shop.
