A quiet man of great thought, foresight, and graciousness is what made Peter Jentzsch special. Loved by many and discouraged by few, he made his way from East Germany to West Germany and eventually to the United States to live out the adventure of the American Dream while never forgetting his beloved homeland. Peter experienced a full life, not without struggle, but always with the support and love of his wife and children. He loved people, nature, and a challenge. Peter was a storyteller, and countless hours were taken to dictate, transcribe, and edit this work. A close friend helped in this quest after he was told by many that he should write a book . . . so here we have it! His hope was that this work be a human interest story not only to his own family but anyone who wanted to travel via his compass and witness the adventure he would term . . . As far as the East is from the West. May you all enjoy reading the story as much as he enjoyed telling it!
