I wrote Daughters of Destiny because, growing up, I hated the name Naomi. She was the old widow—why wasn't I named after Ruth? But as I got older, I faced trials similar to Naomi's, only in a modern way. There was a time I wanted to be called Mara, but I found my joy again and began living out the beautiful name my mother gave me. Daughters of Destiny is a book about 20 powerful women in the Bible. It explores the meaning of their names, their strengths and weaknesses, and the lessons we can learn from them in today's world. Each chapter includes a Bible verse, a fun fact about where these women are mentioned beyond Christianity or the Bible, and a special prayer to help us grow into the women God has called us to be. I want to see women rise up and be on fire for God again. It's time to step into our destiny!
