One of the stars of my blind tasting in Rasteau, l'Espigouette's 2017 Rasteau tastes more like a 2016 - that's how good it is. A blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre, it starts off enticingly floral and tea-like on the nose, then quickly adds deep fruit notes of cherries, raspberries and even a hint of apricot. It's full-bodied, creamy-textured and lush, with a long finish. Bravo! Drink date: 2019-2026. Score - 93.
