That Fros Kirova was born a human-basilisk hybrid who can pass for human most of the time is not her fault. Neither is the fact she needs to eat humans at least once a month to survive. It’s always bad ones she takes out of the picture, after all. She is essentially doing community work.
Yet not everyone sees things the same way. Fros is being set up by someone who appears to be holding a grudge against her. The bodies are piling up and evidence suggests that a vampire was involved. This is unfortunate for Fros because it might just be possible that she is falling for the vampire she’s been sleeping with for a while.
Using her turbocharged sense of smell, which spans everything from basic hygiene to the deepest emotions, Fros tries to solve the murders that the mysterious villain is leaving like a breadcrumb trail with clues pointing towards her with the help of her best friend Sam and that same vampire whose smell raises a lot of questions.
The journey leads to a couple of discoveries that shatter some illusions Fros has had for most of her life, the establishment of a detective agency, and a few more deaths because what’s a grand finale without the catharsis of death?
