In the beautiful coastal Maine town of Yorktide, Jane Patterson lives next door to her best friend, Frannie, and their teenaged daughters, Rosie and Meg, are inseparable. Until high school, when Rosie, quiet and shy, attracts the sneers of a clique of older girls. As the bullying worsens, Meg, fearful that she too will be targeted, betrays their friendship.
