The 2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges La Petite Charmotte, which winemaker Mark Fincham feels is a little underrated, has a perfumed, quite floral bouquet with iris flowers infusing the red fruit, hints of Earl Grey emerging with time. It certainly has more complexity than the Village Cru. The palate is wellbalanced, the 20% whole bunches imparting a subtle pepperiness, very detailed towards the finish with admirable mineralité on the finish. Highly recommended. Drinking window: 2026-2040. Score - 91-93.
