Some monsters you can kill. Some just won't stay dead.
In a post-war bayou where every folklore that ever crossed an ocean has washed ashore and learned to bite, Finnegan Wray hunts monsters for hire. Her philosophy is simple: bullets are truth. Her partner, Shilong, builds the kind of weapons that nearly get them both killed — and grins the entire time. Between the two of them, they're very good at putting down whatever crawls out of the swamp.
Then a routine extermination job stops being routine. The dead get back up. A werebear that's been killed a dozen times keeps coming back for more. A necromancer is bottling corpses like preserves. And the only one who knows how to put these things down for good is a masked stranger with silver eyes and his own blood score to settle.
Figuring out how to make something stay gone is one problem. Living with what it takes is another.
Monsters of the Infinite Bayou: Done & Gone is a darkly funny, blood-slick, and unexpectedly tender tale of found family, second chances, and the price of permanence — a standalone entry point into the Infinite Bayou, a mosaic of interconnected stories drawn from the world's mythologies and the haunted underbelly of American folklore.
