This is a New Zealand sauvignon blanc of considerable depth and concentration, complexity and breadth, clearly in a superior quality category. The palate is richly concentrated, creamy, seamlessly integrated, displaying a wide range of flavours from candied lime and orange to green melon, passion fruit and guava across the whole varietal spectrum. Central Otago may be rightly much better known for pinot noir, but this wine makes a case for the variety. This is good wine. Drink or hold 4-6 years - no real need for additional age, but no rush, either. Tasted September 2022.
