Dairy cattle are the cattle cows bred in order to produce large quantities of milk in order to produce various dairy products. Veterinary diseases are of prime concern as they pose a risk to public health and cause damage to economy of the state. Several factors like poor sanitation and improper management are cited for the transmission and advancement of these diseases. Some of the diseases associated with dairy cattle are bacteria spongiform encephalopathy (mad cow disease), digital dermatitis, anthrax and pneumonia.
