A caring and ethical education and community is possible! Dr. Tedla has worked in the community, and in student affairs and academic affairs providing student development programs - ultimately creating outreach programs that brought together students, parents, teachers, and professors from diverse cultural, racial, religious, and national backgrounds. Drawing the best from these years of practical experience, Tedla wrote Principle-centered Education Through Community Development (1) for community people, and (2) for teachers, administrators, and educational program organizers who work with students at all levels, in formal and informal educational settings. This developmental program is flexible enough to tailor to the needs of different community places and work settings. Unique to Tedla's work is a conceptual framework for student development and community development that includes programmatic elements. The work is founded on The Principle, TruthLovePeace as an important way to actualize our benevolent potentials and respect the Community of All (i.e., Nature). To this end, 11 Community Fostering Qualities have been introduced to serve as practical expressions of The Principle, TruthLovePeace. Here is an opportunity to place integrity and character at the center of learning so that all learners can actualize more of their benevolent potential and abilities.
