One day, the tin soldier is thrown into the fire by a wicked goblin, but he is rescued by a kind-hearted maid. The tin soldier is melted down in the fire, but his heart remains. The paper ballerina is also destroyed in the fire, but her spangle is found by the maid. The maid places the tin soldier's heart and the ballerina's spangle in a flower, and the two lovers are finally reunited in death. The Story of a Bold Tin Soldier is a timeless story of love, loss, and sacrifice.
