The Munchkin Safety Toddler Bedrail keeps your little one safe and sound while in bed. The lightweight extendable metal frame is padded and covered with fabric, fitting mattress sizes twin to queen. The secure locking mechanism and convenient hinged folding design makes lifting your child and changing their bedding easy. And to make your life even easier, there is no assembly required.
- Fits mattress sizes twin to queen. No assembly required. Buy two bed rails to create a double bed rail. Folds down to make lifting your child and changing their bedding easier. For toddlers ages 2-5 years old.
- 1. Remove the bed rail from the package. The bed rail is fully assembled, but comes in a collapsed state. 2. Open the legs of the bed rail, as illustrated, locking the legs into place at a 90 degree angle. 3. Undo the hook-and-loop closure at either end of the fabric covering. Fold back the fabric flaps in order to grasp the metal frame of the bed rail. 4. Grip the bed rail frame on both sides and pull to extend the frame to the full 36 inches. The frame will lock in three places with a "Click" once the locking pins are securely in place. 5. Pull the fabric covering back into place over the bed rail frame and reattach the hook-and-loop closure so the fabric fits the frame securely. 6. Lift the mattress slightly and slide both legs of the bed rail between the mattress and the mattress support. The bed rail must be oriented at least 9 inches from the headboard and footboard. Please refer to the ruler printed along the side of the instruction page for accurate measurement. With the help of a second person, lift the mattress and extend the safety straps to the opposite side of the bed. Make sure that the safety straps are not twisted or tangled and that the anchors are facing up. 7. Pull the safety strap towards you until the anchor is flush against the mattress on the opposite side. It is critical that the safety straps be pulled tight. Once sufficiently tight, continue to pull the safety strap with one hand while locking the locking buckle with the other. Check to make sure that the process of tightening did not cause the mattress to bow and that the mattress still lays flat against the mattress support. Repeat this process on the second safety strap. 8. Once both safety straps have been sufficiently tightened and locked, tuck the excess safety straps between the mattress and the box springs. Frequently check to make sure that no safety straps are accessible to children, particularly after making the bed. TO LOWER THE BED RAIL Simultaneously lift the side locks on both sides of the bed rail and lower the bed rail frame. Swing the frame all the way down so that it rests flat against the mattress support. TO RAISE THE BED RAIL Lift the bed rail until it is completely upright and locks into place. You will hear a clicking sound when it locks into place. REMOVING AND STORING THE BED RAIL To store the bed rail, remove the bed rail from the mattress. Undo the hook-and-loop fasteners and slide the fabric cover up the frame to access the locking pins. Push the pins in to unlock them. Push on both ends of the bed rail frame to contract the bed rail for storage. Unlock the side locks to collapse the bedrail legs. Bed rail will now be folded flat for easy storage. TO CLEAN Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not bleach. Line dry. Do not iron.
