Showing respect is a form of manipulation that causes normal people to feel obligated to do the same. We learn to show respect early in life by making parents happy, never arguing with them, but learning from them regardless of their careers. Understanding the art of manipulation means that you may disagree with others, but you must hold judgment out of respect until you understand their reasoning. I grew up believing if you argue with your parents about little things, you will argue with everyone about everything.
