These stories began in 1949, when I was ten years old, and finished in the 1960s, when I was a young adult. Some of these episodes are funny, some are sad, some are about kids acting like idiots, some are about surfing and chasing girls, some is about a local love connection, some are about fishing off sport boats from the Malibu and paradise Cove Piers, some are about hunting when it was legal here in Malibu, some are about self-taught survival, some are about cars and drag racing, some are about gambling here in Malibu and at school, some are about taking advantage of greedy adults, some are about country and western stars, some are about the California Highway Patrol and my dad Jimmy Haynes, a resident CHP officer here in Malibu and some are about my life as a Los Angeles Police Department motorcycle instructor.I truly hope anyone who reads this book will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
