If there was a Nobel Prize category for average people who come out of great tribulation, this author would be an awardee! Her memoir is an excellent example of the types of extremes that ordinary people endure, often without those near them being the wiser. Yet the book's valleys and mountains, recounted in frank conversational style, are powerful enticements for perserverance.
