A happy childhood creates good and lasting memories. My memories of growing up in Felch, Michigan, fill this book. Felch is located about twenty miles northeast of Iron Mountain, Michigan. And Iron Mountain is about one-hundred miles north of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Surrounding Felch are some fields and then miles of woods, with glacial rock, trout streams, lakes, and ponds. The townsfolk knew me and my two best friends as the Three Musketeers. Most of the daylight hours, when we were not in school, were spent outdoors. And accompanying us was my faithful watchdog, Zipper. Although, A Boat Named Ponder is a fiction book most of the adventures I share with you actually happened in my childhood. Those who like the outdoors will love this book.
