A novel written in narrative poem format, A Boy Nonetheless, tells of a young boy who decides to run away from home. The storyline combines his memories with his journey beside the brook and though the woods that he knows so well. Along the way he begins to understand what he is trying to run away from. A Boy Nonetheless is a very personal story letting the reader walk beside the boy as he leaves home to enter his woods where tales about the Picnic Grove, Skull Island, Sophia, a disappearing body, and the Bander Snatch exist. The actual location of A Boy Nonetheless is not critical to the story, but the story must take place in a woods with a shallow brook flowing through it.
