This is a brief history of Civilisation that begins from the prehistoric period and explores all the major events that have shaped the world down the millennia. I have also described the pre-modern and the Modern era. In the final section, I have tried to predict how our Civilisation and our world will be in the next two to three hundred years. An exhaustive bibliography and some suggested readings for those interested in exploring this further is also at the end of the book.
My book begins with a description of the pre-historic period, which is also pre-recorded history based on archaeological evidence. It takes the reader through the various recorded ages for which artefacts have been found. It then goes on to describe the Dark Ages, the Middle Ages, the Industrial Revolution, the Modern Era and finally it goes on to prognosticate on what we can expect in the next two to three hundred years if humankind still survives the dark present era.
