Flavius Josephus, the 1st-century Jewish historian, is unquestionably among the most important writers from classical antiquity. The significance of the works of Josephus as sources for our understanding of biblical history and of the political history of Palestine under Roman rule, can scarcely be overestimated. This widely acclaimed concordance to the works of Josephus has been prepared by an international team of leading scholars in the field of Hellenistic Judaism under the general editorship of K.H. Rengstorf. It was published in four volumes between 1973 and 1983.
