A Late Requiem for the Fallen Deity is a fantasy epic about an earthly man thrown into a fast-paced new world teeming with peoples who are easily attributed as evolved humanoids. Stricken with amnesia in his rebirth, the protagonist, Orius, finds himself tied with common sense qualities that are completely alienated by the evolved denizens of the new world. From simple social gestures to the basis of morality, Orius faces these topics as problems routinely against both his comrades and his enemies as he attempts to spread his aspect of kindness with others in an attempt to create a better world. Tied deeply to the cause of his rebirth, Orius partners early on with an estranged, demonic-looking woman on the basis of killing a god-like figure that lives within the world for her own benefit. The woman is one of the many evolved races of humanoids that are able to physically and mentally exceed humans in every facet of ability. With her unique mental ability, colloquially known in the new world as a 'blessing', she, and many others, have the ability to consciously affect core concepts of scientific elements through immense mental strain. Their journey together is rooted deeply in the concepts of humanity, theology, and evolution as every step of Orius' adventure is met with the limits of his own mental and physical capacity.
