After being the victims of a hate crime at their high school in rural North Carolina, cousins Joe and Luke Pell move to Baltimore to live with their drunk but loving aunt, Stacy. Almost losing them to death, Stacy fears for her nephew's lives, believing society isn't as easy on gays as perceived.
