My writing essentially comes from certain specific life experiences. Firstly, from my experience as a monk in India from 1966 to 1976. Then from my experience as a registered mental health professional for over 40 years. (Since India). My childhood constitution and experience seemed to have a lot to do with driving my Spiritual Journey. I am now focused on how to use spiritual practice to deal with trauma and mental dysfunction, as well as the gamut of human afflictions. Here I add practical self-help exercises interspersed with commentaries/teachings. There is content related to my psychology/psychiatry/mental health focused writing. Also, in my books I write about*: Yoga, Mantras, Kundalini, and Gurus.* Thus, in this book there are aspects of psychology/mental health connected with spiritual practice. I write in this book about Depression. Addiction, as well as many aspects of mental health, with spiritual contrasts. (It's really about mental health in its entirety. and even life in its entirety). I call life in its entirety: Life and the Universe. I use the term - Life and the Universe - to talk about life in general when I am trying to coalesce spiritual and mundane matters, or the transcendental with what is not transcendental.
