Angel was a good kid from a small town who had an unfortunate past. But, decisions he made as a teenager led him to prison before his 18th birthday. After a couple of years inside, he found a way to serve his time without any problems and lead a decent life that would surely find him outside of the gates earlier than his full sentence. But, a letter from a high school sweetheart throws a wrench in his plans. As Angel questions the values of love and freedom, his personal journey is complicated by his fellow inmates' struggles.
