This is the third entry in the Angela Morris, Private Investigator series. The 49 Club is a sex club for the rich and powerful. To add spice for their members, young college women are abducted, and their bodies are auctioned off to the members at their meetings. in 1953, Angela and her partner, Wendy Larson, are approached by one of the abducted women, who had a child as the result of her visit to The 49 Club. She wants to find out who the father of her baby is. The PIs decline the case for several reasons, including the danger involved. In one of their regular cases, the PIs follow a man who is suspected of cheating on his wife, and stumble on a drug lab. After a potentially deadly encounter, Angela and Wendy are approached by The 49 Club victim again, who shames them for not taking her case. The PIs decide to investigate the club. This complex case required Angela and Wendy to request help from the mysterious Mrs. Bacchas and her assistant Patricia, who they first met in their last high-profile case. Can the PIs infiltrate the club and survive? This story includes murder, kidnapping, bondage, and sexual acts.
