This book is an exploration of the world through the author's extensive travel and a variety of his artistic expressions. It includes the struggles and setbacks that he endured as well as the successes and new beginnings that were provided by God. Along his journey, the author discovered his purpose and clearly heard his calling. After a lifetime full of many adventures, he returned to the faith he had as a child. At last, he realized that God had always been with him. And now God continues to protect him, encourage him, bless him, and speak through him. Stan Jacobs was born in Colorado in 1943 and grew up in Kansas. He has a BFA from Washburn University of Topeka, an MFA from the University of Kansas, and a PhD from Texas Tech University. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1969. In 1971, Stan started the art department at Midland College and advanced to Associate Vice President of instruction, overseeing four academic divisions. After retirement in 2012, Stan has continued to teach at MC as well as doing stone carving, wood carving, bronze casting, and drawing, especially caricatures. He currently volunteers in the community, especially mentoring young people. Stan has visited over sixty countries and drawn caricatures in almost all of them. He has served as a missionary from Christ Church (Anglican) for the past twenty-four years teaching English and sharing the Christian Gospel in Russia, Eastern Europe, South America, and Africa.
