As both a college student and talented hip-hop artist, in North Dallas, Veratis always had a number of muses within arm's reach, ready to test his ability to be faithful to one woman. That is, until he met Priya (Bartender) a beautiful pre-law student, with a passion for dance. When Priya and Veratis first met, they truly were the definition of "star-crossed lovers" as they spent their first night atop Priya's roof, looking at the stars. After Priya hears about a rap competition in New York, she encourages Veratis to enter the competition, and Veratis is quickly whisked away to New York. The competition is one high point of the story, as we see a number of hit songwriters come together, in an epic clash of titans. When Veratis finally returns home to Dallas, he and his friend, using momentum from the competition, throw a big house party, where they end up making a significant chunk of change. But everything that glitters is not gold, and only few days later, Veratis experiences the loss of a friend. After losing someone who he loves so much, Veratis is faced with a decision...
