Bernard Goldfarb 1928-2018, A Journey In Time is a book detailing the life of the late Bernard Goldfarb and his family starting in his birthplace of Duisburg, Germany and following him on his two narrow escapes while fleeing the Nazi regime at the age of ten. This story of this book began with Bernard engaging in conversation with his wife Jacqueline after dinner one evening, reliving the stories and memories from his youth, most of which he had never shared. Jacqueline asked him if he was comfortable with her recording some of these memories on pen and paper, and she did so. After his passing, Jacqueline took it upon herself to research further into the family story, and delve deeper into what his life was like before the Holocaust took so much from him. Could more be found about his life in Duisburg, what happened to his friends from the Kindertransport, could more be learned about his family's journey from Kalusz, Galicia (now Western Ukraine) to Western Germany? Jacqueline's exploration into Bernard's early life is a wonderful gift for those he left behind; to his children, grandchildren and beyond.
