Jacqueline Ivey is the author of the Book of Original Poems and Memoirs. She embarked on her educational journey at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, Florida, where she followed her heart to be with the love of her life. Later, she graduated with honors from Bethune-Cookman University. Jacqueline's life was intertwined with that of the late Mark Ivey, III, M.D., with whom she shared a beautiful marriage. Together, they were devoted parents to three sons. Their enduring union spanned an impressive forty-four and a half years until Mark's untimely demise. As a retired educator, Jacqueline dedicated thirty-four years to her profession. Her teaching career took her to schools across different cities, including Daytona Beach, Florida; Nashville, Tennessee; Akron, Ohio, and finally, she concluded her impactful journey in Lakeland, Florida. Jacqueline has explored numerous regions across North, Central and South America, as well as the West Indies, the Far East of Asia, Northeastern Africa and Western Europe. Additionally, she finds joy in gardening, sewing and playing the piano.
