LIMITED SECOND EDITION : Remarkable story of the Vaughan Furriers - dedication, perseverance and racial harmony at a time when racial intolerance and social upheaval dominated the North American landscape. They transcended racial barriers and dominated junior baseball in 1962, then dedicated themselves to succeeding generations of youth, earning the respect and support of their community and province. The second limited edition involved a complete updating of the original text, as well as the story of this Baseball Hall of Fame team with three new chapters: the Roy Hobbs World Series , the Lt. Governor’s reception and the Sport Hall of Fame. This edition also has an additional eleven biographies and dozens of photographs from the Roy Hobbs’ 2008 tournament (involving the Furrier’s team reconstituted 46 years later) as well as the 2009 Lt. Governor’s reception, including the complete text of Her Honour’s speech.
