Brotino The Legendary Crab is a tale that motivates the common person. It shows that we do not have to be born into greatness to be great. Also it exhibits the power of teamwork and how this can change one's destiny, perhaps of a whole village too, or even the world. It takes one person to want to make that change and by attracting like-minded people, much can be done to better everyone's lives. Phoebe has captured these concepts really well in her story and has provided an opportunity for young children to understand this easily. At a time when most children are too engrossed in games that perpetuate violence and aggression, this book teaches compassion and empathy, which is much needed in our world now...
