Daly's "Sacrifice in Second World War Gander" recounts some of the more dramatic and tragic moments of the early years of the Gander airstrip. From Keith Donaldson, we experience WW2 Italian battlefields in "Breaching the Gustav Line," learning how regiments from two nations on opposite sides of the globe came together to achieve a vital military objective. Moving beyond fixed spaces in time, we explore how war is experienced in memory in Amanda Shepherd's "Army Memoires." Our final journey takes us into the human mind itself and scrutinizes the devastating effect military life can have on the psyche in W. A. Leavey's treatise on operational stress injuries: "Leadership and OSIs."
