Highly attractive on the nose, Cave Spring's 2023 Estate Chardonnay is a marvel of balance and freshness, with very delicate barrel influence and the merest hint of yeasty-lees, featuring instead bright, fresh citrus and apple, pear and lemon yoghurt flavours with above average depth and flavour density, also length. Really an excellent value, drinking well now, comfortable surely in the cellar into the late '20s or early '30s. Tasted March 2025. Score - 91.
