Despite rigorous swirling, the 2022 Citran has a decent nose that never delivers that 'wow' factor. Maybe that is to come? The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, slightly granular in texture, gently building toward a slightly savory finish. Not bad at all, and I raised my banded score as a second bottle tasted three weeks later displayed a little more tension on the finish. I have faith in this Citran. Drinking window: 2026-2042. Score - 90-92. (Neal Martin, vinous.com, May 16, 2023) Despite rigorous swirling, the 2022 Citran has a decent nose that never delivers that 'wow' factor. Maybe that is to come?
