Not so much a rosé as a delicate red, Château d'Aqueria's latest is a masterclass in co-fermentation and blending, the result of generations honing the dance of 11 or so red and white grape varieties rooted in all three of the Cru's terroirs. Multiple vats of carefully paired co-harvested varieties are vinified before their assemblage of this flagship Château cuvée. The result is less a wine than a vinous tapestry, vivid, intricate, and seriously composed. Each sip unfolds like a millefeuille of flavour: pink peppercorn, pomegranate, grapefruit zest, cherry, and a whisper of fennel, all woven together with elegance and intention and with enough aging potential to keep you curious for a few more orbits around the sun. Tasted April 2025. Score - 92.
