This cuvée is a selection of the best plots in Château de Sancerre's limestone and flint soils. Two-thirds of the wine is aged in oak barrels, and the remaining third in tanks for 12 months. So it does not express 'typical' Sancerre delicacy and freshness. That said it does show impressive aromas of ripe apple, fresh herbs, oak spice, all very well integrated. It is medium bodied, broad yet very well balanced with perfect acid, alcohol and fruit balance. Excellent focus and length. Tasted April 2026.
