Mystery author and psychic Vivianne Trevalyanne and newspaper reporter Dianna Manderley find themselves neck deep in a string of murders in 1926 Chicago. However it is a 1926 where the Great War hasn't happened yet and magic is more common than most people know. A hanged girl leads Dianna to a new case while Vivianne's visions lead to a double murder and suicide, or so it seems. Soon Vivianne and Dianna are in a race to prevent murders by a vengeful spirit.
