Michelle Crichton was born and raised in Ottawa,Ontario Canada. Her family backgroundoriginated from the Caribbean. Whilegrowing up in Ottawa, Michelle began writing poetry at a very young age and herfirst publication “Always Be Who You Are” was featured in the National Libraryof Poetry for North America in 1998. Sheattended the University of Ottawa and holds a Bachelors Degree in General Artsand a second degree in Education. Michelle started working at the age of 17 and since then, she hasacquired much experience with respect to workplace issues and bullying. Growing up, she faced challenges of fittinginto a very “Type A”, competitive city when it came to employment and hasacquired much experience in this area. As a very justice-oriented individual, Michelle enjoys being involvedwith various social causes and creating awareness about the ongoing workplaceissues that many people encounter.
