The eye is the prominent member of the first sense of the five senses, namely sight. Various types of light-sensitive organs are found in living organisms. The simplest types of eyes can only recognize the presence of surrounding light, while more complex eyes are able to recognize shapes and colors. The human eye has eyelids, eyelashes, conjunctiva, sclera, cornea, pupil, iris, vitreous, lens (eye), aqueous humor, retina and choroid.
