In both, she is a big believer in rules, discipline, and equality. She finds herself without a play partner for extended amounts of time because she hasn't met someone who can live up to all of her expectations. When her family rain checks on her birthday celebration for a variety of reasons, Nicole settles for heading home to a bottle of wine, leftovers, and a bath. However, she finds her apartment is not how she left it. A woman's clothing is strewn across her living room floor, apparently discarded without thought. The trail of clothing leads to her playroom. A room open to the public nearly all nights, except her birthday. She doesn't know who the items belong to, or what they might be doing in her playroom.
