Susan is a woman in her early thirties who is in the throes of passion from her boyfriend Jimmy, an aspiring tough guy who knows how to send her body into fits of ecstasy but understands little else about her. Susan's sense of romance is challenged by the presence of Phil, Jimmy's neighbor, who appears timid and polite but is concealing the prowess of a Casanova. The more Susan gets to know Phil, the more her perceptions of lust and love are challenged.
