Waking up on only his second day with the Mountain Warrior tribe, Eric finds he must still prove his worth despite stepping up in the previous night's battle with a zombie horde. Accompanying Bryan and Critter on a mission to save a bitten and injured comrade, the group is captured by the Lowboys and is taken to Craigsville where Eric is strangely treated like a celebrity. Inciting the ire of the Mountain Warriors and not sure why his new and dangerous hosts want him in their camp, Eric is suddenly a man on his own. With his loyalties in question and a new and possibly deadly ally emerging, Eric will have to choose between saving himself, finding out the truth, or coming to his friends' rescue--if they still are his friends. Whatever he chooses to do, his only escape route leads through the heart of the killing grounds of the vampires. It's kill or be turned or maybe both, and Eric will have to muster a strength he's not sure he has to make it out alive.
