This was the first day of second grade. We had moved to the other side of the building where the upperclassmen were. The whole area felt different and looked different. The doors had wreaths on them with welcome mats. We all looked in amazement; some of the classrooms looked like our family rooms at home. Brynn asked me, "Do the teachers live here?"
