The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Noyer Bret comes from a selection massale. It has a stern and backward bouquet with wet limestone and petrichor scents. Fine delineation. The palate is well-balanced with quite a tangy entry. Very fine weight (just as the 2021 demonstrated last year), although I'd like a bit more presence on its back end, where there is a touch of sour lemon. But there is plenty of freshness here, and it should drink well for a decade. Drinking window: 2024-2034. Score - 90.
