"Dying in the Dust" by Avernus Sans Pitie ([pseudonym] is a poignant exploration of a man that grew up both in Oklahoma and Overseas. He is a constant traveler an Expatriate. The poems within are about growing up in several cultures, dealing with depression, alienation, falling in love, and being destroyed by a few women. The topics of these poems and songs are Politics, Love, Subcultures, and Societal Problems. The themes of these poem and songs are Whimsical, Humorous, Serious, and might Anger some. I want the reader to laugh and cry by the time you finish reading my work. The poems are uncensored and raw and a few very explicit in tone. I also should mention that all of the poems are actually songs. I have tried to place the poems in the order of how the events happened to me and how those events shaped me as a person. My goal in writing these poems and songs down is to give a perspective of my life and some of the lives that have crossed mine.
