Father, Wake Me is a collection of four short stories with a realistic tone that relates to the human experience of love, self-hatred, pride, and death. The first, "Vita Nova" is about a man falling into a deep despair of hatred in the bathroom, calling himself nothing more than a mannequin who wears the face of others. Following after is, "Walk Me Through the Flower Bed Once More" a dramatic romance of Sebastion visiting Anne to ask her if she can walk the park with him as he needs to tell her something. The psychological rollercoaster, "Vast" is about a prideful businessman whose constant elevator ride to his office takes a disturbing turn as it refuses to stop going up. Lastly, "Descend to Fate" is a tragic romance in a fantasy world where fish roam both the sea and the skies. However it was prohibited by the Gods to mingle between the two, but Cillian refuses to accept it for his love Silvana.
