What do you do when your body can no longer house the brutalities of the life you have lived? This book is for readers who have experienced the darkness of trauma. It is also for those who want to better understand the impact of trauma on survivors. Collectively, our co-creators confronted and then freed what had long been frozen inside of us. Our stories are now held within this book, and our bodies are lighter. We have experienced profound pain. We are not afraid of confronting this pain; rather, we are terrified of what might happen if we don't. Some of us are poets, some are visual artists, and some combined both gifts as we dug for and then dragged our wounds into the light to be seen, felt, and released. Ten artists created eighteen works of art each for this anthology. Each artist's chapter is divided into three sections: six works that represent the root wounds of their Past, six works that represent how that root wound continues to show up in their Present, and six works that represent the hope found in the transmutation of their past and present into their triumphant Possible. In this transformative and empowering anthology, you will find: Ten chapters by ten different artists who worked collectively and individually to transmute their pain into their power through creativity Creative, powerful explorations of trauma, its impact on the feminine, and its collective impact on us all Raw, unfiltered vulnerability that opens a path toward empathy and an understanding of the feminine experience in a patriarchal society Inspiration to embark on your unique path from pain to power Find out more about our anthology at www.freeingourfrozensongs.com. **While experiencing our book, you will read, see, and feel words and images that are arresting. Our art may contain images including nudity, language, and descriptions of events that may be disturbing to some readers. Reader discretion is advised.**
